Our modern-day lives have changed the way that we use electricity. 

 

If you own an older home, chances are your switchboard is insufficient to support your modern electrical requirements.

For example, operating a washing machine, clothes dryer, dishwasher, oven, and air conditioner at the same time, requires a higher electrical load, something that many older switchboards dating to the 1990s and further back are not equipped to deal with. This can result in burnt wires, fuses and in extreme cases, even house fires.

A lot of older switchboards no longer comply with the current legal RCD requirements.
